Budapest is what truly sets us apart. We have the ability to transform this vibrant city into Paris, Vienna, London, Berlin, Prague - or let it shine as itself.
Budapest offers layers of culture, from its historic grandeur to its underground edge, making it an ideal backdrop for any production. Combined with Hungary’s highly skilled crews, cutting-edge equipment, and top-tier sound stages (the same used for global blockbusters like Dune), we offer world-class capabilities at competitive costs. Add in Hungary’s 30% tax rebate, and we’re able to deliver stunning results at a fraction of the budget required elsewhere.
Budapest isn’t just a location - it’s a location scout’s dream. This mysterious and breathtaking city offers an architectural playground spanning classicist, baroque, art nouveau, brutalism, and beyond. Its streets are lined with stunning buildings that house luxury hotels, unique spaces, and cutting-edge restaurants - all at surprisingly reasonable prices.
Besides this Budapest has a lot of blocklots and inexhaustible studio capacity. Not far from the capital you’ll find rich and diverse countryside with fantastic castles and amazing historical venues as old as our history.
Still not convinced?
By all means.
But if you’re open to being convinced, take a look at our showcase of CineSuper productions filmed across Budapest over the years and see how this remarkable city can become anything your story needs.
Beyond Budapest, we’ve completed countless productions in neighboring countries, transforming each location into a uniquely captivating setting. When lofty heights called, we explored Austria and Slovakia’s scenic landscapes; we’ve even rolled cameras along the Croatian coastline, familiar from Game of Thrones. Though Budapest serves as our creative incubator, we feel equally at home across Central Europe’s diverse terrains.
Tax Rebate:
Hungary offers a 30% indirect state tax rebate for film productions, making it one of the most competitive incentives in Europe. The rebate applies to all film and TV productions where at least 80% of the total production costs are spent in Hungary. For productions with lower Hungarian spending, the rebate is still available—calculating 25% of non-Hungarian costs as part of the base, effectively increasing the benefit to 37.5% of local expenses. The program is open to Hungarian, international, and co-productions, with clear registration and accounting requirements to ensure eligibility.
